ICAN-Cesarean & Birth Trauma Support Group Meetings
After a difficult birth, parents must often cope with the physical and/or emotional scars left behind. Many parents are surprised to find out how stressful planning another pregnancy can also be! ICAN is here to listen and support you on your journey.
Moms may face physical pain, emotional distress, regret, relief, fear, or any number of other challenges. Babies may struggle with nursing or other physical and emotional issues. Dads, and other supporting friends may not know how to help their loved ones.
It’s ok. We understand. We’re here to help.
This group is also open to anyone who is processing a challenging birth experience, C-Section or not, as well as their partner and children. ICAN is here to support moms in making the best choices for their family. Participants are offered a non-judgemental space to share their birth story. Every woman’s story is different and we respect and honor each woman’s journey.
If you’re planning for another birth, we can provide support as you prepare.
Meetings are on the 4th Sunday of each month, at 1:30pm at WRMC.
(Please check calendar for holiday weekend schedule changes.)
There is no fee for this support group. All children are welcome, regardless of age!
